Mark Carney appoints Michael Bloomberg as Climate Disclosure Task Force Chair

The Climate Disclosure Standards Board and CDP welcome the Financial Stability Board's (FSB) announcement today at COP21 of the formation of an industry-led Climate Disclosure Task Force (CDTF) which will bring together best practice climate disclosure under the chairmanship of Michael R. Bloomberg.

The significant and long-term uptake of our work is proof of the concepts behind CDP and CDSB’s work – concepts that are now being embraced by the FSB through its creation of the Climate Disclosure Task Force. Through their participation in our work, more that 5,500 companies, over 800 investors and others demonstrate that climate change presents businesses with both risks and the opportunities that need to be managed and that have the potential significantly to affect corporate performance.

We applaud the launch of the task force and look forward to contributing our expertise towards its success.
